OpenDataSoft used by The Sustainable Communities Index

Open Data are not always initiated by administrations and government. Several citizen-led projects have encountered great success and triggered institutional Open Data portal deployments.

The Sustainable Communities Index (SCI) is one of those. Created by professionals of Environmental Health and Public Health, the SCI is “a system of indicators for livable, equitable and prosperous cities”. Their goal is to develop an index of US cities data regarding health and sustainability topics.

The first city they decided to work on is San Francisco and they recommend the use of OpenDataSoft for datasets exploration. You can find all this data here.
