CeBIT 2014: OpenDataSoft in the Top 50 Finalists at CODE_n14
PARIS, France – February 7, 2014 – OpenDataSoft has been shortlisted as one of the CODE_n Big Data startup competition finalists, an initiative showcasing the best international startups that are “Driving the Data Revolution”.
CODE_n and CeBIT
CODE_n is an international initiative for digital pioneers, innovators and groundbreaking startups. Initiated in 2011 by the GFT Group, the goal of this network is to support outstanding business talents.
CeBIT, the world’s most important IT trade show, is one of CODE_n’s partners. Organized every year in Hanover (Germany), its 2014 edition will take place from March 10th to 14th. This year, more than 5,000 square meters will be dedicated to CODE_n14 finalists who answered the call of the competition motto: “Driving the Data Revolution”.
Two French startups among 50 worldwide finalists
Degree of innovation and quality of business cases were key selection criteria.
“We were overwhelmed by the exceptional quality of the applications we received”, states Ulrich Dietz, initiator of CODE_n and CEO of the GFT Group.
Picked in the “Technology & IT” category, OpenDataSoft is an online data processing and publishing expert.
OpenDataSoft will present its data publishing and sharing platform to investors, the international press, and more than 230,000 international visitors in Hall 16 all week. A huge space is dedicated to CODE_n and it is one of the trade show most popular areas.
According to Jean-Marc Lazard, CEO of OpenDataSoft, “being picked by CODE_n and exhibit at CeBIT are great opportunities for OpenDataSoft to showcase its platform on an international level. Following the CODE_n14 finalists announcement, we have received messages from American and Australian prospects who want to meet us during the trade show.”
CODE_n14 award ceremony will take place on March 12th. The winning startup will receive prize money of €30,000.
