BOSTON — August 14, 2017 – OpenDataSoft, a global software platform that specializes in making data open, transparent, and actionable, is excited to announce it has achieved Advanced tier Technology Partner status in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN). OpenDataSoft has achieved this recognition by meeting the strict quality standards of AWS. The Advanced designation is the highest status a Technology Partner in the APN can receive, and it demonstrates OpenDataSoft’s continued commitment to bringing additional layers of features to clients seeking to embrace the power of AWS.
“We are proud to have reached Advanced tier Technology Partner status” declared Roger Hodskins, VP of Strategic Alliances at OpenDataSoft. “We are also excited about the opportunity to grow our business by leveraging AWS. AWS is a perfect enabler for our international expansion and its reliability standards allow us to honor our ambitious Service-Level Agreements, a key element of trust for our clients.”
OpenDataSoft uses a wide range of AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). Amazon EC2 is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. Amazon EC2 is perfectly suited to make web-scale cloud computing easier for OpenDataSoft’s customers and partners.
The APN is the global partner program of AWS, helping partners build a successful AWS-based business by providing technical, marketing, and go-to-market support. To reach Advanced tier Technology Partner status, AWS requires APN members to meet certain criteria, including increased technical validation, a higher number of public client references, and extensive training on AWS and cloud technology. Only a small number of APN members achieve Advanced tier Technology Partner status.
OpenDataSoft creates data portals for cities, local governments and companies of all sizes. Its second-generation data platform is fast to ramp-up and intuitive to use, and transforms data into civic services without requiring technical expertise.
Headquartered in Boston, MA, and Paris, France, OpenDataSoft already powers open data portals for many municipalities and agencies worldwide – including the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the City of Paris, the Ministry of Health in Portugal and the Swiss National Railways.
