At OpenDataSoft, data security is our top priority. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union (EU) came into effect on May 25, 2018. This new regulation confirms our approach and gives us the opportunity to be more transparent about our commitment and action towards protecting your data — not only for EU citizens but for all users of OpenDataSoft.
We have developed a Manifesto explaining the seven key principles that will support us in continuously working towards the protection of your data. This document forms the basis for all of the reference guides, internal policies and codes of conduct adopted by OpenDataSoft. Each of our staff members, regardless of their hierarchical position, is both the promoter and the guardian of this commitment.Read the Data Privacy Manifesto
Our legal and product teams have made their best efforts to ensure that the OpenDataSoft solution is compliant with the recommendations made by the General Data Protection Regulation. We guarantee all our clients the respect and security of their personal data, and help them to do the same for the users of their data portals. To this end, we obtained the GDPR Governance Label issued by the CNIL (French National Commission on Informatics and Liberty).
In our “GDPR State of Compliance” guide, you will find an overview of the tools used in our business to align ourselves with this regulation, from the adoption of a “Privacy by Design” approach to the nomination of a Data Protection Officer.Read the “GDPR State of Compliance” guide
